Hi! I’m Beth. I am a wife to my husband Kris, a mommy to my kiddos, Emery and Blythe, and a photographer located in the mountains of East Tennessee. My husband is one of my biggest fans, and I wouldn’t have been able to explore this passion of mine without his love and support. My kids serve as a constant source of inspiration, and I can’t imagine living this life without my family. They are my world.
I never intended to become a photographer. After graduating from architecture school and working in the field for many years, I was completely lost career wise. My husband and I wanted to start a family, so I avoided any career decisions altogether and I left my job. It wasn’t until my son was about six months old that I began to recognize that being a mom wasn’t it for me. I had a void that needed to be filled. I needed to find a way to be creative again. My camera became the answer for me. I am so thankful for my architectural background, and I find myself applying principles of art and design in what I do all the time!
I’ve been in business since 2008, and I’m continuously grateful for this journey that I’m on. Over the years, I have become much more comfortable with who I am as a photographer and creating the kind of images that accurately represent my personal style. I am constantly trying to hone my craft and grow as an artist. I love witnessing the dynamics of relationships, and I’m hugely inspired by different kinds of light. If you enjoy artistic imagery and think that my style suits you, I’d love to hear from you!
