Sweet Hannah

Oh how this post is bringing some much needed joy to my day today. I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing this super sweet family several weeks ago, before our world turned upside down. There were just the beginning signs of spring with blooms here and there, and it was one of those unseasonably warm days when it just felt so good to be outside. I met Trevor, his wife Crystal, and their sweet, sweet girls Ella and Hannah. Trevor had originally contacted me and mentioned wanting to capture the spirit and character of their sweet Hannah before she gets into her toddler years. I absolutely loved that line of thinking, and it pretty much sums up what I love to do most. When I look at these images, there are lots of reminders of all those little baby things that I remember so fondly. The looks of curiosity and determination, smiles, giggles, big, round, baby bellies, baby toes, slobbery kisses, yawns, nose grabs, teeny tiny steps, and just lots of love and snuggles really remind me of this age. Ella is the sweetest big sister, and I can just tell that these girls have a really special bond that will continue to grow and change over the years. There is no doubt that little Hannah is so loved, and I loved being able to document such a special time in her first year.
