Davis 1 year

This session was a favorite of mine from last year. This is Davis, and what a treat it was to capture his 1 year milestone. His adoption was finalized in May, and he is so lucky to now officially be a part of one of the most loving families I know. He has the most beautiful eyes and eyelashes that I have ever seen, and he just brings so much joy to these sweet parents. I loved being in his nursery, observing and capturing so many of his little gestures and his sweet personality. I’m a sucker for bite marks on a crib because of the story they tell, and I was over the moon when he ‘found his thumb’ while I was shooting. I’m only slightly behind in posting, seeing as how I’m taking his 2 year pictures next week!!

These were taken in February, right before life turned upside down. I had been hopeful to do more in-home sessions last year, but with Covid, I just wasn’t comfortable. I’m hopeful that things will be different in 2021, and I can do many more. There’s something so special about documenting a family in their own space.
